Using modern digital technology Mike Constantine of moonpans.com has assembled panoramas taken by the Apollo Astronauts, that show the lunar suface as if you were there yourself

Over 30 years ago men walked on the moon for the first time. During those 6 moonlanding missions many panoramas were taken by the astronauts consisting of several photos which were then glued together by NASA when they returned.

30 years on and using modern digital technology Mike Constantine of moonpans.com has assembled these panoramas in their full glory.

"I was amazed that NASA had not assembled the panoramas themselves" Says Mike Constantine, "They had glued the individual photos to a board and that was about it. So i thought I'd do them properly using digital technology to produce a very high quality seamless image that you could not tell where the joins were from one image to the next"

The results are spectacular, each panorama has been carefully assembled from very high-res scans to produce beautiful seamless images and prints.

Moonpans.com has had interest from all over the world in the panoramic images. Including Popular Science Magazine and a 25ft image at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle.
